School Coordinator's Message 2 |
Cairo Dec 25th 2009
Dear parents,
As we all know the past three months have been extremely unusual for all of us. It has been a tough period for us to have fixed plan to deliver the education that your children deserve. This will not stop us from working to deliver our promise (authentic quality education).
At GVS, we are parents before being educators. The physical wellbeing of our students is a top priority, therefore; we will do our best to make sure that the school premises are not a place where H1N1 is spreading.
In this direction, we came up with a plan that should prevent H1N1 from spreading among GVS community, if carefully implemented. It will not guard the students from H1N1 since students can be infected outside the school.
If EVERYBODY acts responsibly, the school will not be a center for spreading the H1N1.
We would not implement this plan if it will be on the expense of our educational objectives. We believe that it can achieve our goals, and deliver the same quality education, but we require the support, understanding and patience of everyone.
We believe that everyone is up to the task at hand starting with our students, parents and teachers. GVS body is a unique group of people who know the value of quality education, and that is the reason they chose to be a member of GVS community. |
The students shall be divided in three groups:
Red, Blue, and Yellow
Blue classes school days are Saturdays, Tuesdays
Red classes school days are Sundays, Wednesdays
Yellow classes school days are Mondays, Thursdays
We are counting on your support, understanding, and patience. |
Very important
Please act responsibly and monitor your child carefully and if you suspect any abnormality in your child's health, do not send him/her to school. We will make sure, that all the material is delivered to him/her and all help will be provided so that s/he will catch up with the rest of the group.
Stay healthy

School Coordinator's Message 1 |
Cairo Dec 20th 2009
Dear parents,
First, I would like to thank you for your continuous support and your confidence in Green Valley School, especially during this hard time where H1N1 has complicated the life of everyone. As we are deeply concerned about the health of all GVS body (students, teachers, administrators, and support personnel), we have growing fears about the educational progress, and the emotional wellbeing of our students due to the continuous disruption of the school life caused by H1N1. In light of these concerns, you can always trust that the school will do its utmost to come up with the best possible decisions for its students. This is done daily through reviewing the H1N1 situation in the region and in close consultation with the different official authorities.
We are not going to risk the health of the GVS body, nor the GVS curriculum, nor the mental wellbeing of our students. We expect tough times all the way up until March. Therefore; we will be looking at new measures and using exceptional ways to fulfill our mission.
As always, we are confidant of our success, only with your trust, support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Mohamed ElSherbiny
School Coordinator
